Tuesday News

Hi everyone...

My mom's doing well tonight. A doctor stopped in a little while ago to let us know what's going on. She told us that they're going to start chemo today. I guess they don't have to specifically diagnose a type of AML, like we were expecting, but they do have a treatment schedule now. She will have 7 days of chemo, then 7 days of rest, then they'll do some tests to figure out what will come after all that. They hope to put the leukemia in remission after this 14 day period.

From there everything kind of depends on the step before, so we can't know exactly what will happen throughout this entire process. We'll definitely keep you all updated on what's going on here.

The doctor and nurses have been really great. They've told us that mom will live just as she is now, she'll continue walking her 2 miles a day to stay in shape, and can continue having visitors.

Please be praying for my mom to do well with the chemo, that the side effects are minimal, and for continued strength. Thank you for all your support! Praise God for giving my mom a great place to get treatment, great doctors, and lots of loved ones.

  6. Mary,
Did you know that when God drives the bus on an important journey like this, he gets everybody on board..even old friends? Know we've asked him to make this a safe, smooth ride with eyes open to see that both his hands are on the wheel at all times. We'll be checking in on your adventure often!
Blessings to you & your family from

  8. Hi Mary,
Thinking of you and yours and in prayer as God prompts me, which is often. God reminds us to praise Him even in our struggles. All can see that you and your family are doing just that. What a Godly example you are for those who do not know Jesus and are struggling. God bless you and keep you and give you His peace throughout this journey.

  11. Mary,
Keeping a daily track of you thru the wonderful support/information from your family. It takes determination, support and to 'believe'. I believe in my whole heart you will be back home soon and I know you believe the same.
Keeping the prayers coming hourly and passing the word to make a bigger prayer chain.
    Hugs to you!

"Greater is He who is IN you, than he who is in this world"!! The Lord is a warrior and His army is marching thru you now, cleansing you and wiping out the 'enemy'! 13. Hi, Mary!
Sue told me Saturday about this trial you are going thru. I pray for the Lord to reveal Himself in a great way to you. It seems He always does when we are going through these things! May His Presence fill your room, uplift your spirit and may He guide the doctors and technicians with skill and wisdom. You are blessed with a wonderful family and many friends who I know are all praying for you, too. "Trust in Lord with all your heart, and lean not unto your own understanding. In all your ways acknowlege Him and He will direct your path." I am waiting to hear of great news for you! Love, Donna Myer
