Wanted to give everyone a quick update.........
Things are going good! I just got up here today around 5:00, and I am amazed to see how great mom is doing. Last time I was here was 4 nights ago......what a wonderful difference a few days make. She looks awesome! We are enjoying our night together, and catching up on weekend activities.
(My v-ball team got 2ND in conference........out of 12 teams. So proud of them)
Still receiving transfusion occasionally, but not near as often. Still neutropenic (which means that counts are still very low). Mom will stay in the hospital until all of her counts start coming back up. We are on day 21, and numbers normally start coming back on days 21-25. The Doctor told my mom this morning that he wants to see her out of here by this weekend.
How exciting would that be...............
Please be praying for this to happen!
Adam, Suzanne and Cory, Brian and Amy, and David were at the hospital and the house over the weekend. Did a lot of work at mom's house preparing for the soon homecoming!
God bless you all,
Amy
Glad to hear you are feeling better. I wish I could come up there this week, but won't be able to. I bet your thinking "There's no place like home..." Have a great week while those counts are coming up. Love, Patti
ReplyDeleteI am so happy for you (as well as your family)! Your Doctors sound great and I'm glad you are at Northwestern. You will be home soon and all of this will be behind you. Get those counts up, Mary!! Always on my mind, Jill
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy to hear that you're doing so well. You and your family are in our daily prayers. It's been a long while since I've seen you, Mary, but I always remember you with a happy, happy disposition and a great smile.
ReplyDeleteGod bless you. You and your family are inspirational!
Yeah! i was and am still so happy to hear that your mom is in remission, coach mino. Hope she stays better and keeps her counts up!

Amy, Mary and all -- Praise be to God on Mary's remission and clean blood - that is fantastic news!! I've been reading the past two amazing accounts with tears in my eyes, God is so faithful!! Mary, keeping you in my prayers that your counts go up. We're going through something similar with my husband, but know God is in control. Reading your good news truly increased my faith. God is so faithful. God bless you! Sue
ReplyDeleteThis weekend?! How cool would that be!? You could have quite the entertainment looking out the window at all of those costumed cuties! Whenever it is, Mary, I'm sure it'll be great timing. Sounds like you've got a great crew working to make the homecoming a pleasant one. :) Enjoy the week. And, congratulations Coach Mino!
ReplyDeleteMary, I'm sitting here on my chair, getting a very small hint of the boredom you must be feeling through all of this and so glad that you have had different people in and out to see you. That I'm sure has helped to pass the time.
ReplyDeleteI am having to spend 3-4 hours a day on this machine, that bends and straightens my leg for me. They want this involentary movement going on. So, i have to sit on it and just let it work. And make sure i have my meds in me good, before I start. The kids have been taking turns with the flu. But, no pig flu we think, cause Pae was actually tested.
We are so glad to hear you are starting to feel better! We are still praying every day. And will continue! I'm so glad you get to go home soon. And be at your home to sleep and just be! I hope I will be up and running by the time you have to go back in so I can come back up and stay! I miss you! Love you, and hope every day gets better for you! Love you! ~Kim
Mary, Praying for the counts and continue to pray for your spirit of encouragement. God grant you peace that surpasses understanding, strength and healing for today and going on. Feel Him. Greg, kids, family & friends safety in travel. Love to all, huge hug from me, praying continually, Lynn
ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful news!!! If you are that much better in only 4 days, just imagine what 4 more will do....bring you home, that's what! We will continue to pray for your speedy recovery. God bless all of you. By the way, I have some snacks in my freezer from Pam Siedentop. I'll deliver them as soon as you need them! We miss you and look forward to seeing you again soon.
