Good Weekend!

Wanted to give everyone a quick update.........

Things are going good! I just got up here today around 5:00, and I am amazed to see how great mom is doing. Last time I was here was 4 nights ago......what a wonderful difference a few days make. She looks awesome! We are enjoying our night together, and catching up on weekend activities.
(My v-ball team got 2ND in conference........out of 12 teams. So proud of them)

Still receiving transfusion occasionally, but not near as often. Still neutropenic (which means that counts are still very low). Mom will stay in the hospital until all of her counts start coming back up. We are on day 21, and numbers normally start coming back on days 21-25. The Doctor told my mom this morning that he wants to see her out of here by this weekend.
How exciting would that be...............

Please be praying for this to happen!

Adam, Suzanne and Cory, Brian and Amy, and David were at the hospital and the house over the weekend. Did a lot of work at mom's house preparing for the soon homecoming!
God bless you all,
Amy

  1. Glad to hear you are feeling better. I wish I could come up there this week, but won't be able to. I bet your thinking "There's no place like home..." Have a great week while those counts are coming up. Love, Patti

Mary, keeping you in my prayers that your counts go up. We're going through something similar with my husband, but know God is in control. Reading your good news truly increased my faith. God is so faithful. God bless you! Sue

  6. This weekend?! How cool would that be!? You could have quite the entertainment looking out the window at all of those costumed cuties! Whenever it is, Mary, I'm sure it'll be great timing. Sounds like you've got a great crew working to make the homecoming a pleasant one. :) Enjoy the week. And, congratulations Coach Mino!

  7. Mary, I'm sitting here on my chair, getting a very small hint of the boredom you must be feeling through all of this and so glad that you have had different people in and out to see you. That I'm sure has helped to pass the time.
I am having to spend 3-4 hours a day on this machine, that bends and straightens my leg for me. They want this involentary movement going on. So, i have to sit on it and just let it work. And make sure i have my meds in me good, before I start. The kids have been taking turns with the flu. But, no pig flu we think, cause Pae was actually tested.
We are so glad to hear you are starting to feel better! We are still praying every day. And will continue! I'm so glad you get to go home soon. And be at your home to sleep and just be! I hope I will be up and running by the time you have to go back in so I can come back up and stay! I miss you! Love you, and hope every day gets better for you! Love you! ~Kim
