Day 1 (again)

My mom started her next round of chemo today. We were ready to get it going so the end of it comes sooner! She's doing fine today, battling a bit of high blood pressure, but she still feels fine. They ended up not doing the lung procedure this morning because of her high blood pressure. Mom said she thinks it was a blessing so that she didn't have to go through it, and they were only 20% confident the procedure would've given them any information. They're obviously not worried about her lungs enough to hold off on the chemo, so that makes us feel like it's not a huge issue.

Please keep praying, especially for her blood pressure! God works in His timing and we trust in His plan. Thanks everyone!

  1. Mary Jane, You'll always be Mary Jane to all of us who knew you at SHS! Somewhere along the line you grew out of it - maybe Mary Provance sounded better!!

Dave & I were in Seneca this past weekend and rang into a few of our friends. I told them that you were in the hospital and that the Lord was taking care of you. They were so sorry and will be praying for you as well. I have sent them the address for this wonderful blog your children have put together for you so they can stay informed.

I do hope your blood pressure is under control tonight and hopefully they will not have to run the lung procedure on you. I will pray that this round of chemo will be 'gentle' on you - yet effective.

    Love ya Mary Jane,
    Jill

I work out in moring then afternoon on a machine. I miss seeing your smiling face every other morning and always chewing piece of gum. 9. Mary, I am thinking of you all the time, I think if you could count all the times all of us have thought about you and said a prayer for you, you would be running out of numbers even named. I had coffee with my friend, Carolyn today and she works a local hospital around her, she is the person who does the radiation treatments for cancer patients. So, I was asking her questions, and her to me. And when I told her about Joe being the perfect match, she said that is the most awesome news! She said that its great your body is responding to the chemo, but the best thing there is to rid you of the cancer is that perfect match brothers bone marrow. And her being a Christian, gave thanks to God. Some never find an even close match. As we all are giving praise to God! I love you so much and am so mad that I am dealing with stupid allergies/cold thing, cause I so want to be by your side! So, I will go help Amy and watch the girls this weekend so she can be with you. And when I'm sure I'm better I will be there! My mind and my heart are with you all the time! Love, Kimmy

  13. Mary,

Stefanie posted this song on her Facebook and said she thought of you. I loved it and I just wanted to be sure you saw it, had a chance to check it out, etc. It's a song called "FIGHT LIKE A GIRL".
