Hope

Lane, Graysen and I decided to give Grammy a chance to nap today, and we found this in front of the Hancock building, very fitting!  We went there to get her the strawberry cheesecake she was craving from the Cheesecake Factory!!

Dr. Jessica came in this morning like we expected and we had a great visit with her.  She went over all of the details and answered all of the questions that we had for her.  Mom has officially started her chemo today, it's about 3:45 on Thursday and they got her started around 1:00.  She had a very good night last night, and wasn't even bothered by the nursing staff giving her blood and platelets while she was sleeping.  She will be on chemo for the next 6 days.  Pray for her strength because this is obviously the toughest part for her...she knows what is ahead with the side effects of the chemo, but overall she is in great spirits and she knows this is necessary to get rid of her leukemia!

We'll keep you updated in the days ahead...love to you all!

Adam
