Mom gets blood and platelets at least once a week, as she needs them. She's able to get them in Morris now rather than traveling to Chicago.
She has days that her head hurts or she'll have a stomach ache, but generally her health is much better than expected. She doesn't do a whole lot other than talk with visitors and relax around the house. She has to be careful leaving the house because she doesn't have the cells built up to fight infection. Julie has been mom's main caregiver, giving her her medicine, making her food, and keeping her company. We are always trying to balance what meds mom is taking depending on her blood counts. There are challenges each week but overall it's been pretty calm and enjoyable last month.
Please continue to pray for mom and our family as we support her. Thanks for all your love.
Wonderful news!! She is continually in my thoughts and wish for long-lasting remission. Please give her my best and a year of ongoing miracles.

I click on this blog daily (sometimes twice) to see if there are any updates on Miracle Mary and was so happy to see, not only a posting, but blessed news about Mary. I am so glad you all had a good holiday with your Mom. Give her a hug from me and let her know she will always be in our prayers here in St. Louis. Jill Steep
ReplyDeleteJust want to let you know how deeply sorry we are for your loss. We have all lost track of each other since we no longer get together every year. Mary was a wonderful and loving woman. I'm sure she will stay in everyone's heart and memories forever. Our deepest sympathies: Marcia and Keith Studzinski and family
